If you are receiving the following error when opening Outlook then the following solution may work

Error:

Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. Invalid XML, the view cannot be loaded.

Solution:

Windows 7 :

Close any error message boxes
Click on the Microsft circle in the bottom left corner of your screen
Type "outlook /resetnavpane" without the quotes and a space between outlook and /resetnavpane
Try to open Outlook again

If you get an error "File not found" this usually means the space between "outlook" and "/resetnavpane" has been missed
