Harddrives are fairly complex creatures on the inside but there are a few checks you can do before calling us
Apologies if these seem condescending but you’d be surprised...
First check… are the lights on and can you hear any noises from the fans or hard drive? Has the PC power failed causing the lack of response?
… and secondly. Can you hear any bad sounds that you haven’t heard before… if so shut the system down. It’s most likely the PCs fan or hard drive
Your computer can also report these problems with errors like a Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) or you may experience your system suddenly slowing to almost a halt or taking a very long time to open documents. These can be symptoms as the drive fails
Outcomes range from a full clone and fix of the mirrored operating system and all files and folders to a flash drive with the recovered data. The price remains the same (excluding the costs of the new drive)
The above symptoms are not necessarily your hard drive but they may reveal what's wrong so shut the system down to prevent further damage if failure has occurred

These things are amazing inside – imagine a jet flying at 7,000 miles an hour 7 feet above the ground – thats the heads. Occasionally it goes spectacularly wrong and things called actuators get all bent and twisted as they make contact with the disk spinning 120 times per second .. that results in you getting a clicking sound - a repetitive clicking sound and drive failure

If we can retrieve the data and you choose not to go ahead a standard £95 fee is charged for our time
